Last night after more high fevers, increased heart and resp rate they placed Zach on a Bipap machine to help him breath. After a few hours he started to get worse and needed intubation early this morning. Zach was very worried about the need for a breathing tube and gave me a very detailed list of his eye care, mouth care, sheets straight, etc. while puffing away with a resp rate of 50. After I wrote them down he finally he agreed to the procedure and after a very difficult intubation he was tubed. At this point we have no answers and I am extremely concerned for my son. Many doctors and specialist have been in and out with their interpretation which equals a bunch of test...an umbrella effect if you will to catch something...anything. Will let you know more as more test come back.
